Just an update on my observations of my black phantoms. I realised why the black phantoms aren't popular when viewed at the LFS, but once they are stabilised in the home aquarium, WoW! Their colors deepen, and the black edgings are absolutely gorgeous on their finnages. During feeding, their behaviour closely mimics that of the bigger hooks and piranha species. Quick darts in, to snatch food. Alot of flashes, esp when feeding them clumps of foods like tubifex and chopped frozen bloodworms and daphnia. Fun fish!

Not to forget the green neon tetra. Gouramis are nice too. Depending on your scape style, choose accordingly the fishes u desire. Bottom fishes, mid fishes or surface fishes. A nice combination of these choices will make your planted tank looks interesting.
Badis badis are interestingto have at bottom. Territorial though. Shrimps to clear sunken food that has been broken into small particles. |

mosquito rosboras or 3-spot rosboras are also quite nice, you can get them from seaview and they are quite cheap...
