Is it necessary to input CO2 in a planted tank?

you'll suffer from green algae and all sorts of other nasty algae. what i advise u is to, go get a filter, a proper PL lighting, give away your HC and keep some moss instead.. HC is not the plant for you yet.

glass tanks under sunlight will get algae, if you intend to keep a planted tank, best to keep indoors and have fun learning the ropes on how to maintain one. Trust me, it is going to be a joy ride, besides you have AF bros & sis here to answer to all your queries....
