One of my guiding practices is that I am of the belief that the father arowana does a much better job of looking after and naturally incubating the eggs through to free-swimming fry. Compared with the artificial approach (human intervention incubation approach), my observation is that the resulting fry are generally much "stronger" and more "hardy". Our approach is quite intensive, more involved and may not be universally applicable. Thus probably why not practiced by most farms. Thanks for your well-wishes and I hope all goes well for your reds. cheers, Terry Last edited by tcto; 18-05-2015 at 11:01 PM. Reason: added "your" as it missed the context |

Appreciate the encouragement on the outcomes of our breeding program. Thank you. We feed a variety of different food for different stages of growth for our juveniles. It ranges from small guppies (that we breed ourselves), bloodworm, mealworm and market prawn. cheers, Terry |

Honestly this is the first time I've seen aro father swimming peacefully with their fries. Your concept/approach is commendable and I believe too that fries that went thru the full process of mouth-brooding will grow up stronger and more hardy. Thanks for sharing!
