u have to go trial and error , for me i will place my wavemaker opposite my pump . so it can roughly blow the waste into my pump . have to try yourself to have your desired results .

I'm using a Tunze 6065 on my 6'8"x3'x2' and I think it's barely enough. The wavemaker position, I place opposite my return pumps' outlets and on the same side as my overflow compartment. The flow created drives waste towards my underflow. Also very much dependent on your tank setup, position of your return pump outlets, tank decor, etc.

Actually with 3 rays in your tank, there will be hardly any dead spot.
Your rays will sweeping the shit all over the place when move around at bottom of the tank.

Thx for the many advise..

Seems like after some adjustments..
I managed to get it in a good spot..
And the best part is that my rays are part of the sweeper team..

Your rays deserved more MP for saving electricity from running a wavemaker.
Whatever it is, just do not get the sunsun wavemaker.

What's wrong with sun sun ? I actually wanted to buy the hydor koralia 3 but c328 has no stock so I bought the much cheaper sun sun. It's puspose is just to "blow" poo and wood shaving towards the OHF pump and keep them in suspension. It's working well so far.

Tunze & Hydor are expensive because they are designed and made for marine tanks, capable of mimicking "wave" with timer/controller. To me, a cheap one will do just for the pupose of sweeping poo.

If just blowing wastes, no need a Mercedes, use a china brand will do.

oh, another thing to watch out if you have small fishes. Some tend to hide in there too. My small small IT like to do that. Before I turn it on, I will look out for that burger. Otherwise he will become a mash potato if he is inside the chamber when I turn it on.
