Yup it's illegal, a note of caution if you have the intent of purchasing. Do it at your own risk.

Well mine eats "soft flesh" fruits and hikari turtle sticks as staple.
1 Hard boiled egg whites once a week as protein supplement. 2x a week bread skin why? Cos I dip vitamins and calcium supplements to the bread skin then hand-feed to my PNT. Minimal waste of supplements |

It will take quite some time for them to recover.
You can apply yellow powder and leave it out of water for around 15 minutes before releasing it back into the tank. |

I feed my pnt koi floating pellets and supplement it with lettuce, carrots and occasional MP. My turtle is 12" and is light grey in colour. I see most of you guys have darker ones. Is it an issue? Have to do with diet? Thanks for your answers.

Side note unless it's leucistic or albino then it's super rare. Hahahah Also another pointer koi pellets and mp are very high in protein max once per week. Leafy greens or fruits are the best. Hope it helps, Cheers! |

Wheatgerm koi pellets actually has lower % of protein
Check out hikari wheatgerm floating pellets, 32% http://www.hikari.info/koi/k_07.html *Low when compared to other turtle or fish food which can be as high as 40+%

Well in general koi pellets with the exception of wheat gem has high protein ma. Haha actually most turtle pellets in the market now are made suited to a carnivorous diet like what most turtles are. Thats why its important to pick the right one.
