Death of 7 year old RTG Diana
23 Dec 2010, 2145h, Passing away of my 7 year old RTG, Diana.
Cause of Death: Suspect Water and Chlorine She was perfectly fine and swimming around during the day. 1/4 Water change at afternoon. By 1930h, we saw the tank filled with slimey stuffs. We suspect it's from her body. Her eyes have turned white, slimey stuffs on her body. She was having difficulty in breathing. Immediately turn on additional air pump to increase exchange of oxygen in the water. Had to leave home for awhile for my mum birthday cake cutting. 2120h I was told she was trashing around in the tank. By 2145h, it has flipped over. Zero movement. Finished. Family was sad, especially my son who wept out loud. She has survived house move 4 years ago, transmore and shipped in a Toyogo box. Tank was moved a few days prior to fill up with aged water before she arrived. Survived from a full planted tank to a plain tank. Survived so much water changes before. Survive family holidays more than a week alone. Survived several days in a Toyogo box. Yet... This post is for remembrance sake. I'll post up pictures of her better days later. #1 #2 Close-up #3 Flipped. #4 19 or 20"? #5 Boney Tongue #6 Tough Lady. She can jump and lift up to 3+ kg, Tank Netting and light. #7 My 6 yr son writing down the dates. Moving on. It was a memorable time with her for the last 7 years. |

Very painful for me when I see your RTG's pictures - of her suffering and pain before she passed on...
She must have suffered a lot before she died... I am very very sorry to hear of your precious loss bro... Please remember her but do move on from here bro... Quote:

I dun understand Bro. You did a 25% WC as per normal (I suppose) and she become like that. You just add in air bubble when the whole tank turn white and her body full of slime? You din immediately change the water? Just leave home for mum birthday cake cutting?

More water change will mean more than 1/4 water changed, more chlorine perhaps. |
