Default Mr. Aqua OHF and powerhead advise needed

Hi everyone looking for some help!

I recently had this problem of my piping for my powerhead (Atman 104) coming loose at the joint despite my best efforts to secure the piping with those kind of white tape. Thinking of re-doing my entire OHF piping system to ensure no leaks happen again. Hope I can get some advise on the following:-

1) Which powerhead is value for money with 1200l/hr flowrate (minimum) and easy to secure to an overhead piping system

2) how do you all secure the joints of your overhead filter system? Thinking of visiting seaview to get all the required parts. For the piping is it better to use a hose or PVC piping?

besides using "white" tape, you can use quick-dry epoxy to seal the joints, especially the L joint to the rain bar.

Altnatively you can DIY the rain bar (13/15mm) and the main piping upwards (20mm) which I recently did. Hose and PVC pipes both works, depending on your preference.

I will do that over the weekend. Let me take some photos. I decided to DIY my own rainbar is because the Mr.Aqua rainbar is jointed (sometimes I dismantle to wash, got cracks) henceforth I bought a PVC pipe of almost 5ish ft long as the rainbar. (i drill the holes). I re-do the whole piping, PUMP - L Joint - Rainbar (and it cost like less than 6bucks).

the rain bar i DIY (16mm), just mark out before drilling... if you not happy with the flow ( give a bigger hole drill!)

from EHIEM 1264, connecting the 20mm upwards.

The L joint, 20mm to 16mm. (rain bar) stretch to the last OHF box.

6ft by 2.5 by 2.5 with OHF 6FT, 25 trays (With DIY support)

The view from the top.

Ubi there, just get those aluminium L bar 4-5mm, 20+bux and they will cut to what you need, for me 180cm and it can rest on the euro bracing and reinforce OHF.
