U can consider artificial hatching
After spawning remove both fish
Let eggs hatch by themselves

will that not increase mortality of fries?
Even if i lower water level to 2 inches, i think still the mortality will be high..

You can try getting another brooding male to foster the eggs. The only tough part is that not many got the luxury of multiple breedings happening together.

Do you cover the breeding set up?
Provide floating shelters such as floating plants or halved vessels for bubble nest?
Ketapang leaves to make the water darker?
Minimise disturbance, which means check breeding only once a day.
Use basins instead of tanks so that the sides are not see through. This gives security to the fish too.

Hope it gives you some clue.

Hi Angel..
Thanks for the reply..
I use a 12"x6"x6" tank to breed, with aged water + ial leaves + halved styrofoam cup... tank covered from all ends..
Do not have any other brooding males..

However, I tried this weird thing and it worked for me bro..

The male had eated 80% of eggs when i removed him..
I let the remainings eggs be and increased the heater to 28 degree celcius..
The fries hatched last nyt.. some 15 or so fries..
Then i reintroduced the same male.. looking at the hatched fries, now he has built a bubble nest and happily taking care of the fries..!!
