My first RTG died last month

Hope you have gotten over the loss, and maybe next time you can consider getting a bigger one, at least 5-6", should be tougher and more stable, cheers...

I had mine removed.. its really sad to have to cut open your beloved dead RTG to get the chip out.

Nope I don't remove the chip.. I just swear some peace word to it and throw it into the dustbin.. ^O^ll joking But that time was really angry.. but I never cut open it.. scare see blood lolz.. since it's died just pat the fellow head and throw it into a plastic bag.. and into the dustbin lah.. can't do anything about it..

He called me and I went there to check the water ph, found between 4 to 4.5 ph level too acidic. Check tap water directly and found OK at level ph7. Later find out the OHF sponge and white cotton wool was replaced at same time, so suspect the caused of too acidic ph. As anti-chlorine and salt was added and tested that ph maintain at level 7. It happens after 18hrs water changed. Just to share some experience.

RIP. Our tap water is very soft, the PH will drop to abt 6 the next day. It will get lower and lower.

not really... i live at woodland and the ph level for direct tap water is from 8-9....it will not drop at all cos i measure my aged water every day last time...water is too hard to keep arowana....now left with only some african fish...
