Total wipe out within a day usually because of O2 shortage. But the Koi will be at the surface gasping. Have you checked your canister? Flowrate?

check the pH...... high chance pH crashed too low and as a result nitrifying bacteria can't replicate at optimal speed.... and as a result not able to cope with ammonia.

then again if the new fish all died off within 24 hrs, it's most probably due to the pH being too low and the new fish all got shocked/"burnt".

From what i tested when i was super free...

By default our tap water is slightly higher PH (Alkaline)
Direct frm tap usually can be from 7 ~10.
After add WC usually will be quite constant at 7.

Eg. Gasping heavily, not eating, gills turnin white - list goes on.
Checked your water conditioner's dosage? Most of the ok water conditioners these days is ok for fast cycling also.
Kois are not TAT sensitive leh.

Just saying la...

P.S. how did your previous parots die? all at the same time? Did anyone add anything weird into tank?
Hmm,sis. My parrots die one by one during a week time after keeping them for 4-5 months after I add in the pleco.

The kois also die off one by one is less than 24 hrs after I have changed the tank water for about a month after the parrots died off.

The pleco seems to me to be fine swimming happily in the tank till now.

How big is the pleco? Does the fishes seem afraid and always tryin to "run away" frm pleco?

any pleco bite marks?

Pleco is about 3in and body looks fine for me.The fishes pass away without any bite marks.I only can suspect my water is not yet cycled ready but wonder why the pleco has not show any issue even now.

Pics will help as we do NOT know what's yr setup like. Any sand? Any wood? etc etc. IMO it's the water chemistry...most prolly PH. 5ft tank should already be cycled already and I dun't think its ammonia that kills them. What's yr water change regime like?
