ok that's definately not the biofilm from nitrifying bacteria.
looks more like accumulation of mulm+diatoms+excessive biofilm. i use momotaro too and the colouration from nitrifying bacteria should just be a light yellowish tinge compared to the brand new white. one thing u can try is to place the momotaro straight up instead of lying down... that'll give better water flow through it rather than around it. |
