Live shrimp suitable to feed?
Hi my RTG is about 8 inch now feeding on frog and hiraki stick, but it prefer frog more. Thinking of feeding live shrimp because it is quite troublesome to catch frOg and sometime it dies easily. As for market prawn it feed only when fresh if frozen over nite it will not eat. If I get live shrimp n pour all in tank any problem with that ? Scare the shell will hurt it's mouth , please advise

Heard long term wise it may develop drop eye due to constant looking for the live shrimp at the bottom of the tank.

I feed my aros with lives shrimp as it is. No need to remove the shell. For MP, I removed the shell of the head only. The rest, including the head and the tail, is fed to the aros. No problem so far.

Of course can feed your aro with live ghost shrimp. but better remove the head while there is a sting on the shrimp head.
Feed it with MP would be more safer and easy. |

Bro, like what bros here told me before, I'll tell you too.. You decide what it eats, not the other way round. MP really good for pumping aro in their first 2 years which is their most crucial stage of growth. You can easily see your aro putting on bulk! I remember having bulk purchases of small frogs but in the end, high fatality when I forgot to wash for a day. Also, MP won't hurt your pocket as much as feeders! Trust me on this
