It is used for smaller fine plants like glosso and hairgrass.

Advantages:
- Easier to reach bottom of tank if tank is deep
- Easier to leave the plant in the gravel without it floating up (especially smaller plants)
- Easier when planting densely especially if you have a big palm
- Less disturbance to substrate/base fert than using fingers

No disadvantage except you need some practice to master the skill. Of course need some $$ to buy the tweezer.

If don't use tweezer, planting plant like glosso is impossible. I use the tweezer for all the plants except bigger one like sword.

this adv alone is reason enough to invest in a pair of tweezers
but be careful not to grip the plant stem too hard when planting.

I use tweezers. Great for deep tanks and handling of smaller plants.

try to get those proper stainless steel ones which costs abit more

dun get those cheapskate made in china metal ones as it will rust after sometime

avoid also those plastic ones as the grip is not good enough i find

I do use tweezers. Its helps when u wanna plant very closely. Especially u

wanna plant those very small forground plant like glosso, HC etc... It is not a

must, but it really helps to make planting much more easiler n fun .

Alternatively u can use 'chopstick' like one of my fren do.

Happy planting,

I use it, it allows me to plant the plants deeply into the gravels.
