How true is this?

You can get different batch of altums at different time, but as like any new fish, you need to quarantine the new fish for some time before adding in your old season altums.

One thing unique about altums i found out is those smaller ones will tend to eat more and catch up with the bigger ones after sometimes, from my experiences. Of course the gap cannot be too big.

Hope this helps...

Ah, so I may add new fish as long as I do proper quarantine? Thanks for the info. But I was looking at my tank just now and I guess I won't be adding more already haha.

Right now in the market there are 2 main suppliers, Qian Hu and Mainland Tropical. Qian Hu ones are smaller and cheaper, Mainland ones are bigger and slightly more expensive. But IMHO those from Mainland looks nicer, dorsal looks more reddish

328 brings in from 2 different sources but those that arrived earlier and smaller in size are from QH.

Never bought altums before and just to know, are they always being pre-packed in bags(in 5pcs or 10pcs?) or just like normal in a tank and you choose the ones you want?

What kind of enviroment do altums prefer?
1. Ph range?
2. Black/white/blue tank?
3. Plants & DW?
4. Suitable tankmates?
5. Best food?

Hope seasoned AA keepers can enlighten newbies like me.

Yes, you may add new fish as long as you quarantine the new fishes well.
