Default My hermits and their humble abode

Hi, these are some pics of my 4 small hermits (not those huge ones at c328) and their humble home. I have been keeping them for about 3 months already and they are very easy to keep.

Hiding in its shell

Walking around

Their home

The big water dish contains salt water, the smaller one fresh water. The food are placed in the clam shells

In case you wonder why i took pics of only one crab, thats because the rest look the same anyway

Yes, easy, just replace the freshwater and saltwater when it has evaporated, feed them once a day.

For them to drink, these crabs need both fresh and salt water to regulate the concentration of water in their body.

The sand should be ok for them as they are able to dig into the sand. They dont like to hide under the coconut shells, always dig a burrow and hide under the sand, so i guess they will have no problems molting. The sand is coral sand (very fine) mixed with lapis.

I feed them fish pellets and supplement with fruit and vegetable. For the fuits and veg, i fed them banana, persimmon, apple and carrot before. What i eat, they get a bit
