bro, maybe u wanna reconsider adding a co2 cylinder coz planted tank without a co2 cylinder first off is incomplete and your plants will not bubble which actually beautify everything, the scenary etc

Low tech set up just CO2 tablets eh sai liao...put when day time....any life forms require certain elements to survive...deprive them then nature takes it course...die off...in a contained enviroment like a fish tank,we need to add nurtrients etc to sustain healthy enviroment...just my opinion

Hi I new to plants keeping. Jus a question. Doesnt fishes in the tank produce co2. Is the c02 produced by fishes sufficient for the plants.

Fish, like humans, respire and take in air and exhale air with a slightly higher concentration of CO2. They don't respire out 100% but usually we don't depend on them for the CO2 as its very little (unless you have 1,000 fishes which will help in CO2 levels but give you 101 bioload headaches)

Usually if you have lower lights you can get away without injecting CO2. I do have a tank like that and its low lights, simple decor, but the hairgrass is thinner and taller. Don't really look as nice.
