I had a 3ft fish tank, those aluminium rim frame, that gave way after 20yrs of usage. I had another friend who boast to me his tank use 30rs still ok.
I feel that if the workmenship of the tankmaker is good, I think a tank can last 10yrs or more without any problem. One way to see if tank can still be use is to see the silicon. Bluish white with slightly clear is new silicon, after 15yrs, it would be come white and cannot see through, time to change liao. BTW can anyone teach me how to see if black silicon is giving way? I have not idea on that. |
