If want real platinum then both Fish A & Fish B are not.

Years ago we used to have debate on RTG.

Classic RTG 4th level.

Crossback 5th level with pearlies, some cross to 6th level, some a few scales on 6th level.

And then we have the Highback ......... some die die say Highback means cross with Crossback, got crossback genes. Without crossback genes can only go 4th level. Some say Highback still RTG, will never cross. Some say that even if u get 6th level but no pearlies also RTG.

So who is right ? Or does it really matter who is right ?

And now this debate has come to shine for silvers ......

ok lar ...... u win ......

You said (if any other part of fish has color, not a leucistic). And I quote you the Wikipedia and that is not true. If you ever kept a plat red tail cat you will know most leucistic red tail cat do have black dots on their body. Professor, you may be a professor but seriously..
You need to be corrected on many things :
1. I am a fake Prof. Mine not a real academic title.

2. Wikipedia is true, your comprehension and understanding of what it states is wrong. Hence you think you are right. Your premise is wrong because you are interpreting what you read wrongly, based on the Wikipedia you referenced, you are totally wrong.

3. Seller and hobbyist can call their rtc leucistic or platinum but Science is exact in definition. Leucism is defined as total lack of pigmentation except for the eyes.

I shall start a new thread later.

Don't want to disturb Dave6238's thread n go OT.

As for your Silver Aro, I love the fin colors. Sweeeeee!
But since your threads thus far nobody has pointed out the Emperor's New Clothes I shan't bother to go into them.

Will start new thread on what is scientific definition of Leucism and vis a vis platinum/snow.
