Default My elusive Heckels

been having them for the past 3 months but was never able to get a good shot of them due to the acclimatization and their shyness. Finally after 3 months, they are not afraid of the light and humans =]

And their habitat

enjoy =] Feel free to comment, Still relatively new in discus keeping

tank setup looking good (: got the tree root look (:
maybe you should put the ferns in front and some taller plants behind.hopefully encourage them to come out (:

planned to get larger plants, but kinda hard to find tall plants which are of low maintenance type. they are actually much better now, not as shy as before, but still would dart at slight sudden movement

due to the setup, am not able to pump them with beefheart or other hi growth food. am currently relying on a mixture of dr.aqua pellets for discus, tetrabits and FBW.

thanks for the comment, i guess i have to pump them up even more with FBW. Still kinda new to heckels so am learning along the way =)

i guess in this case you just got to feed small feedings but frequently (: and i think u increase dry pellets better then increase FBW amount (:
