Default guess the age

This is my first plant tank. i know the its pretty untidy. can you guys guess its age?

With the clues like BBA and the thickness of your foreground grass provided in the pics...I guess its probably between 6 - 8 mths old

Default The answer

its 3 years old already. the good thing abt it is i only change water 4 times. twice because i have to move the whole thing. never had to refertilize it, and no filter needed. its a 2 ft tank btw.

best part. i used garden soil for its base and covered it with a thick layer of gravel. i was surprise that it can still last till today.

bro can use gardon soil!??!?! will it cause any probs to the water condition? hmmm v curious....

mine is living proof that garden soil can be used. just have to remove the initial nutrients spike with duckweeds.

the excesssive algae is due to the extra co2 cos i use a diy system. will take a pic of my huge yamato in the tank when they come out to explore.
