I think if you were to have a light source out of the container, the bbs may just swim out.

do you think I should provide aeration in the filter or outside the filter? |

I think if you were to put aeriation inside, there is a risk of the eggs coming out. Else if you were to put aeration inside, you risk also have "dead" spots or the eggs may come out in the other direction as opposed to the placement of the aeration. Perhaps you can consider no aeration and hatch the BBS as in they ae in the BBS hatchery dish, but then that will affect the hatch rate.

Mission failed. .. The filter got rusty just after 1 day in salt water. .

this project of mine failed completely.. :P
the tea strainer become rusted after only 1 day in salt water... so disappointing... |
