yeah, but then in actuality the clowns in the LFS all survive in 30oC temp water....in the open waters, clowns are found in the safety of the anemones and the temp is really lower than 25 actually......and anemones and corals are found kinda deep sometimes as well...

hi bro,

thanks for the comments! Know what you mean, if i use a transparent one, i can see what i have collected ya? saw that they do sell those transparent PVC Pipes as well but white was chosen so that i do not have to see the dirt...heh ) looks neater i suppose, thanks!

a protein skimmer is to improve water quality by removing excess protein released by the fish, thru' excreta, fluids, etc. it also removes all the left over food that is rotting and makes the water better and cleaner, especially important if you want to keep corals, anemones, etc.

hehehe i get what u mean..coz i had 1 friends which also hate to see the slimy stuff collected in the skimmer too.he said it disgusting.. looks like urine

bro...the last time you impressed me with the DIY IOS..now u come out with the skimmer...wahlau...one day i'm gonna make one for my 2ft with one and only pnt inside...that fella is really a mess...every 2 days i need to take a layer of protien off the surface...
