Quick start kit good for beginner?

Hi need advise from bro n sis out there, I am newbie, n do not want to spend much on marine till I am more experience , this whole set cost $688 with 2 ft tank , light, quick start up and coral and fish , the amazing thing is that it do not need chiller . Please advise as I do not want to jump into it till I have more information, thanks

Agree, I bought one of these when I first started long time ago. Then after a few months and much research on the reefing forums online, I realized my mistake...

Do research before starting your tank. Reef tanks are much more complicated than freshwater tanks

If only reefing was so easy and cheap....

Chiller is not 100% needed if your place is cool and you only plan to keep fishes and no corals. A simple fan will do to keep the temp cool enough for them. The good thing here is the skimmer but you can buy one for about S$250 to S$300 ( reef octopus ) or even cheaper 2nd hand. End of the day you will need to cycle your tank properly before putting fishes in..cannot be "instant noodle" style one..fast to cook good to eat
