One of my 'fatso' also floats belly up BUT only during the night. Saw in other sites that its because of their genetic body shape. So far for few mths liao still okay.

Well the most should be just standing on their head!....
Belly on the water surface is too much. Time to try cure it!.... Why ur fish float? Due to over feeding or bad water quality? |

Then you feed them floating pellet right?
Is it good quality dry food? Do you soak your dry food in water for 5mins before feeding? I would recommend Hikari Lionhead Sinking Pellet for any fancy goldfish. Then tendancy of floating will be much reduce!!!! If you feed them those cheapskate $2 dry pellet i think you fish 60% will float as it grows older. Right now what u can do is take the fish out, starve him for 3 days, then feed him peas only for another 3 days. Hope this will help. Do let me know the outcome ok? |
