EvoZ's Altum and Mini monster Comm
Hey guys, been some time since i post here.. probably the last time i did was when i still had my HBRTG with me..
Im still with the same tank size of 422 but currently with a different kind of fish.. some people find this mix kind of weird but its just a mixture of fishes i like most. My comm : 9x Semi-Adult Altum Angels (2011 batch) 1x 3inch FeiFeng 3x 4 - 5 inch Tea cup ray (p.Reticulatus) 1x 4inch Spotted gar 1x 3inch Albino Pacu 1x 3inch IT My favourite fishes of all time.. Altums My Teacups.. Used to keep Motoros when i kept HBRTG but their growth rate and bioload is certainly not meant for 422, let alone say their max size. So this time round i turn into another alternative.. Teacups are pretty slow grower(mine grew only abit despite having them for 2 months already and everyday eating like a pig) and they max out at 12". i have a trio in there, 2 male 1 female.. Most active male.. always sticking to the top bracing and spitting water out. The other male. Color change from light to dark base from time to time.. well he's covered in sand cant really see his color now. My short-tail female. The only girl who refuse to eat FBW.. had to feed Tubi to the tank daily thanks to her.. My Lovely FF.. always sucking on my hand when i do maintenance in the tank. Im very very tempted to add in 3 more similar sized FF to comm but am afraid they may fight.. still thinking though. Spotted gar, just got this fella days ago... haven't start feed on MP yet. Albino Pacu, i know this fella eats alot and grow very fast.. but i just couldn't resist its cuteness! got it just 2 days ago and got whacked by my IT.. And last but not least, my tank's full shot.. old black wood and SUDO bottom sand are used as decoration and the rays loved the sand alot. Sorry for the long post and hope you guys enjoyed |

Anyway, maybe someone can recommend any fish suitable for this comm? i may end up with 3 more 3inch FF and will stop adding otherwise i may find some other interesting mid-swimmer to add..

Bro, i won't advise adding anymore FF. for one thing, they have a tendency to fight amongst their own kind. Also, do spare a thought for the rays too. As the FF grow, some will develop a liking for a ray's body slime. Having more FF in there may cause your rays to under-go high stress, if the FFs suddenly decide that ray slime tastes better than tank slime...

Beautiful comm there
Although i feel you might have to reconsider the choice of fishes in months to come as they get bigger.. Problems may occur.. Especially with the gar and albino pacu. |

Thanks bro Thanks!! hahaha thats what quite a few other people told me too... but what i felt is that i keep what i like as long as they do not pose a threat to each other and wont disturb each other. |
