Default mp stuck in tank/sump compartment

i just commissioned my tank and placed bio-balls at the outlet compartment to the sump to reduce the 'noise'.
Apparently, market prawn got stuck between the bio-balls and its difficult
and tedious to remove them as the bio balls are only half-filled. I did not
put any filter wool before the bio-balls.
Question--> Will the mp breakdown by itself and how the process will be?
Hope my tank do not give out bad smell..its only half pc of mp....
Thanks for all comments.

ps: From now onwards, i scooped up the uneaten mp...

Bro don't worry so much, have alot of uneaten food that got sucked in by my underflow to the sump also, after a period of time it will break down by itself, and if your bacteria colonies are established and sufficient it shouldn't pose a problem. Of course it will always help to scoop up uneaten food and wash/change the filter wool whenever necessary

Yeap most likely the ammonia will shoot up but. Cause uneaten food will make the water smelly aye.

full a filter wool to prevent and big particulate getting try in your bioballs ok.

That my advice cheers.

You can fix up the black net at the overflow, its available at C328.
Opening is about 5mm by 5mm each.
I got mine there and fix it up to prevent my small marine fish from going over the overflow.

Or put the black net over the bio balls.
Eggcrate can be fix over the bioballs followed by the net is not rigid enough.

Better don't lazy. I don't feel safe knowing an mp is stuck in my filters.
