Default Sump tank media

Hi bros.. Need some advise..
My sump tank media are used for coming 3 years already.. Its getting quite dirty.. Should i take them out to wash or change new ones.. I was told I should change the medias after 3 years. I understand that cannot change all 100%. Roughly how much shld i change?

Try cleaning each compartment weekly , not all at once, wash with tank water.

Your media power but bio load not high enough to test it. Add more fish

wat medias are u using? theorectically, u can use those medias until they disintegrate into powder. medias have no expiry date.
just do a quick check on ur sump. if the medias still can use, just wash is ok liao, no need to waste $ to replace them.

As long the ceramic ring are not broken into half, which will becom ineffective, you can just wash them with tank water and continuing using them should be fine, just my 2 cents
