Yes and no. Take Temensis, that occur strictly in acidic black water (talking about Amazon here). You don't find very many crustacean in such condition. Even mosquitos larvae can't survive there. Evolution over time might have done away with their digestive enzemes that take care of exoskeleton.

Having said that pbass are largely opportunistic. Given a barren waters of all foraging baitfish but crustacean, I am sure they will eat those as well.

Trust me, life will find a way. I have witness Temensis and Mono farm bred in a pond (size of half a football field) in Thailand where the pH level was 8.5! What I am trying to say is fish are more resilient than what we think.

anyone know where to get nice mid size pb went to afew lfs ytd but couldnt find mid size pb. months back alot in lfs now like suddenly all gone

Hi, there is two LFS at Henderson Rd along the main rd. Forgot what is the BLK. Can try there saw a few pieces.

thanks.. i figured that too.. but the shop guy told me its not the normal mono. its from thailand bla bla.. i think i got conned liao.. pay to learn...
