u were thinking of stanley is it.
Hee, not really, it's something old timers do. Their dad also kept aro with sponge filter and they seem to do fine.

But having said that, there are many other considerations.
Ammonium would not harm the aro like ammonia does, hence keeping a ph lower than 7 takes this out of the equation, but with long term exposure to ammonium I am still not sure it is good for the overall wellbeing like the ability to breed, scales, etc. Whether internal vital organs such as kidneys, liver are compromised. There is a lot to ask but no accurate responses forthcoming.

i was wondering.. did anybody ask him about API's test kits. Esp the nitrate and nitrite ones? There's consensus among users that they are not really accurate. Just dunno why.
I feedback to speaker that the tests are not as good as Sera, he didn't give a response. But didn't ask about nitrate. I felt their ph tests does not cover full range, and it's a serious drawback, IMO.

Dear all

It was very heartening to see a 100% turnout at the event. I hope all of you enjoyed the seminar and the very generous goody bag.

Thanks to Barney for helping carry the boxes of goody bags, SotongMan for helping throughout the event with everything, from phototaking to ushering and Edmundo and Pleco Club Singapore for allowing the Events Team to rest at their booths.
