Default Rip l66

2 of my l66 just passed away today. They are still baby..
Although they are dead I would like to know the cause. If any one could help me ?
Feeding them on hikari carni pellet.
Occasion beef heart left over from my discus.
Previously also got one died.. After water change..
This 2 also..

I asked one of my friends. He told me it was bloated stomach. Cause from too meaty diet and no vege diet.

Please advise fellow bros.

bro, yes Sudden Death Syndrome. There are many factors contributing to this. like stress in new tank, PH shock when introduce, presence of Discus added more stress, TDS, ... etc. Maybe you can ask the seller their former water condition and emulate the same as the seller tank for small little fry like the cute L66. Is a part and parcel of keeping pleco fry. I dun think anyone one who kept pleco can claim that 0 casualty.

Currently usin Baxter.
For the discus pleco tank I change once a week, 50%.

Drain 50% from main tank.
Add some Baxter.
Fill up 2 Pail thn add Baxter.
Thn slowly add in..
Have been normal... No death for about 2 weeks.. This week is the 3rd..
Suddenly 2 dead...
