Full grown algae usually become too hard for the snails to chew..thus usually when that happen, we will use the magnet brush or metal razor blade sort fo thing to scrap it off.. But usually if u have sufficient snails to go about, they will help to clean off the algae before that happens. Plus snails can help to clean up 'blind' spot which u magnet and razor can't reach.
I think PR selling the cerite and nerith snails. But not sure if they have anymore in stock. Alternatively i have some for sale if you are interested. |

after u add in all the nice nice fishes and corals, u wouldn't be looking at the snails anymore...
