Another option is seachem matrix.. I have very good experience with this, and use plenty on them in my sump. Price wise is very reasonable.. $50-60/4L.
I got 2 rays and one aro.. and I put around 12L of seachem matrix. Able to reach 0 amonia and 0 nitirite.. nitrate is a different issue. haha. |

try throw in lots of ghost shrimps, my rays go crazy and eat the ghost shrimps when i throw
