Default Brother, killie got 700+ species and still growing leh.

Brother Killie got many many types leh.
Generally 2 class, Annual and non-annual.

Annual last 9months to 1.5years
Non annual would be those more than 2 years.

It also varies greatly depending on feeding pattern and temperature.

A cory can live much longer than what's been stated there. Keeping a bronze cory aka Corydoras aeneus for more than 10 years is quite common overseas where the hobby developed much earlier than us here in Singapore. The longest known lifespan record of a C. aeneus is 30+ years... and still alive and kicking.

Cheers,

If it grow faster due to environment, I don't think it will die faster but if it due to chemicals, it might just die faster. It may also die from overfeeding but if you give it enough food, it shouldn't die faster, no reason to.
