Default zebracove

6mths ago, decided to setup my abandon glasstank to keep mini livestocks.
on mind is to keep zebra pleco and some shrimps.
my theme is to make the atmosphere seem like seaside at sentosa.
since no money to stay sentosa cove,i shall pamper my mini livestock to stay in their zebra cove

introduce few mature royal whiptails to clean up the algae, very efficient

in less than a wk after introduction, the whiptail keep breeding non stop.however survival rate for the babies whiptail after 2wks are sad case

meantime hv already introduce almost 20pieces of l46 coming from two big colonies from two different af bro.
at the same time discover crs&bds slowly dieing, due temp not suitable because those crs and bds are raise in chiller condition.only sakura doing well

later someone told me maybe can try crs raise in jb,those raise in jb did not use chiller, just room temp.i bought in large quantity to try again----result,all slowly die within 2mths,500 crs all went heaven....lesson learnt,no matter how good your water parameters, crs and bds MUST stay in cooler temp

since without chiller condition and only sakura can survive,i bought another 500pieces of firered this time.all doing very well and breed non stop.

at the same time introduce 10pieces of assassin snail to control the pest snails,...result super efficient.thousands of pest snails wipe out in less than a mth by just 10 assassin

also after few mths,i noticed tiny assassin snail babies appearing once a while, however their grow rate is very slow

along the fire red breeding, almost 50% of those produce are cherry-sakura standard, that's why every 1-2 mths must cull to control their quality.

the whole mini livestock commtank is very mature and stable now.just waiting for the day i can spot baby zebra, that will be wonderful.

i hope the above short journal of my experience is useful for those might hv interest in keeping those fishes i mention and they are peaceful towards each other.

cheers
