Daphnia
Hi, i know of some bros here who uses daphnia. In any case, daphnia might die off after one or two days.I have tried a few times already and i want to share this method of keeping daphnia alive for about 4-5 days.I kept daphnia in a container with an airstone in it so as to constantly supply oxygen to the daphnia.I keep the daphnia in a solution of aged dechlorinated water plus ocean free complex vitamins, a bit of ketapang extract and a dash of salt.Hope that this guide will aid some of the bros here on keeping daphnia longer to feed your guppies. Cheers

Bro,
I used to feed daphnia (boon) to my fishes last time. Very true, only can keep up till two days before all die off.. Have you tried BBS hatching? That save the time heading to LFS IMO because the area I living (Seng Kang) do not have LFS . I found htaching BBS saved me lots of time travelling to source for boon. |

I have a tank of green water and feed a cup or 2 of this water to my daphnia and they stay alive forever.

Bro R_F, but how to get greenwateer?
Bro Kaner, Baby Brine Shrimp hatching is what i do most of the time. However, i hate the existence some shells in the fish tank.Overtime, the shells accumulate and causes water to be unclean. That's why i prefer daphnia. |

anyway the solution will cause the water to be cloudy, wouldnt recommend it. use it when really no choice. daphnia, esp bbs provides higher nutrient value i felt. |
