Default Why Koi colour can be faded?

Came across articles and someone mentioned about it.

Would like to know how frequent this would occur?

Hi Bro,

Fade can be quality issue or the genetic issue. Because the breeders uses different parent koi for cross breeding.
But it is very low percentage in fading.

It could be due to bad water condition and stress. But normally once they settle down the chance of it fading will not be high.
