Default Here's my Rift Lake cichlid setup




The tank is a 150 USG, 5'x2'x2'.

Hardware:
2 x Eheim Pro 2229 wet/dry canisters
1 x Rena Filstar XP3 with DIY acrylic surface skimmer intake attachment
1 x Tunze Turbelle 6060 stream pump (1600gph) for circulation
1 x RedSea Aquazone Plus 200 ozone generator w/ ORP controller and probe
1 x RedSea Prizm foam fractionator for ozone injection
1 x American Marine Pinpoint pH monitor and probe
1 x HOB refugium containing red mangrove seedlings and hornwort
2 x 24" 2x24W Archaea T-5 fluorescent fixtures with 6500K Gieseman bulbs
2 x 300 watt Hydor ETH external inline heaters

Inhabitants:
11 Tropheus sp. black Kiriza
5 Syn. multipunctatus
4 M. estherae OB
6 M. estherae Mdoka long pelvic
6 Ps. demasoni
4 L. caerulus
5 Ps. saulosi
2 Ps. elongatus Chewere
1 Aul. stuartgranti

2 x 24" 2x24W Archaea T-5 fluorescent fixtures with 6500K Gieseman bulbs

Very nice set up...

DID I SEE 5 SYNODONTIS MULTIPUNCTATUS?!?!?

Hang on, your equipement seems like its more for marine tank leh. refugium? Prizm? Ozone generator? All for marine one. So is this a conversion from marine where you use back your equipe cause if I'm not wrong no need Prizm, refugium and ozone generator for the above setup.

Bro, you are correct as to the foam fractionator, ozone generator and refugium. None of this is "necessary" for freshwater.

But this was never a marine tank that I converted to FW. I set this stuff up to create a healthier environment for the fish. Everything serves a useful purpose. A lot of bros on these forums use these, especially the ozone.

It's a black back acrylic tank.
