hey bros, one of my blue masheers i keep in a community of GATF/payaras/dats has suffered an bizarre injury. One eye is completely red and swollen.. I feel that maybe one of the GATF/payara may have bit him in the eye. Is this recoverable or will he go blind in that one eye for sure? They are all around 5-6". just wondering..

Never keep masheer with ferocious fish like PB, aro, ATF, gar....as they would be the first one to get attack. You can see alot of drop scales, eye got attack, broken fins as I supposed they are prey to the predators in the wild. I have never successfully comm them, casulty is bad with meats eaten when perished. Try comm them with koi, hook, kong meng, barbs, FF....more appropriate.
Advise you to quickly isolate before is too late. |
