Blue Zebra Lace angelfish (F1)
Hi Folks,
Just wanna share some pics of my juvenile Blue Zebra Lace angelfish (F1). They are from the crossing of Blue (female) and Zebra Lace (male). There are 4 varieties which came out from the crossing. They include: Zebra Lace, Blue, Dark Lace and Blue Zebra Lace (F1). Essentially, the Blue Zebra Lace has lighter colored stripes and a bluish tone. Below are some pics of those hybrids that I will keep for F2. Will keep you guys updated with their development. Hope to get better pics when they get bigger. Meanwhile, this is the male fish. His dorsal fin has not full recovered from fin rot. No pic of the female yet as she is currently paired with my Black Lace. |

Thanks. I was inspired by Ken Kennedy's achievements. He has already created the Blue Zebra Lace and many more. I was just trying to see if I can replicate his work. And I think he has also create the Albino Blue Zebra Lace.

Thanks for the compliments.
I noticed that most local angelfish hobbyists prefer to breed one pair of the same strain. It reminds me of the similar trend observed when I was into discus several years ago. However, I really hope there will be more hobbyists who will try their luck at creating new breed of angelfish. That will certainly make this hobby a lot more interesting and fun. I'll try to get some pics of the other strains. But first I think I really need to pump them up more. |
