partition death
my 6 inch pearl aro just died on tuesday.
i have a 3ft tank with a cover. but there's half a foot of space between water and cover because my tank has a glass shelf built into it. i partitioned off half a ft with a plastic divider to keep plants and small fishes. but then my jardini jumped over the divider, hit the cover and fell onto the small partition. it might have survived if it was empty, but there were lots of high and sturdy plants in its way. it died as it couldn't move far and fast enough to get oxygen. i found it floating vertically in the water- not enough space for it to float lengthwise. haiz. |
