Usual suspect is the GH when there are moulting problems.

Thanks cheetf,

i've found my old API gH test kit. (spoilt already )

having that said, i did my homework. should i add Peat moss or the artificial pH buffer?

apart from the main topic, to improve their moulting, should i add in oyster shells or a iodine regime?

sorry for the trouble shifus.

must be kh and gh too high, that is why, most shrimp keepers uses ro water instead of tap water for wc and topping up

Adding oyster shell will raise the ph.
Before we can comment any further, like bro cheetf mentioned, we'll need more infomation of the parameters.

I've just bought a pH and gH Test kit. apparently my gH test keeps failing. Am i doing something wrong? or is the gH test kit expired?

No matter how many drops i did with the 5ml test tube. it just remains orange/red. i googled as well as youtube how to conduct the test but without sucess. Can anyone enlighten me?

pH - 6.2

I did the same for pH and thats what i got. The colour was inbetween 6.0 and 6.4. am i safe to assume that its 6.2?
