Klopp sums the game accurately : average game, sensational results

Fulham has improved under Scott Parker and now faces ManCity, hope they play to a favourable outcome for the Reds.

There are so many games to play in the remaining 2 months. Its a strain on all the teams chasing for 1st to 4th placing.

Imagine a team getting through all the 4 cup finals and with EPL schedule, players will be dead tired.

Who's in action during the international break?

Brazil trio Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmino and Fabinho will face Panama in a friendly in Porto on Saturday before taking on the Czech Republic in Prague on Tuesday.

Rather than racing back from South America, the players will have plenty of time to prepare for Liverpool’s next game at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, March 31.

The longest journey is that of in-form Sadio Mane, who is with Senegal for their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at home to Madagascar on Friday before a friendly with Mali three days later.

Egypt had already announced Mohamed Salah would be rested for their qualifier in Niger on Saturday, as well as the friendly against Nigeria on Tuesday.

And Naby Keita, who has missed Liverpool’s last two games through injury, has not been included in Guinea’s squad for the final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Central African Republic.

The start of the Euro 2020 qualifiers otherwise dominates the international calendar.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and, injury permitting, Jordan Henderson will look to be involved for England against the Czech Republic at Wembley on Friday, with the Three Lions then in Montenegro on Monday.

Scotland skipper Andy Robertson is out of Thursday’s game at Kazakhstan due to a dental operation but should be back for trip to San Marino on Sunday.

Both Virgil van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum are with Holland for their home game against Belarus on Thursday ahead of Sunday’s titanic clash with Germany.

Meanwhile, Dejan Lovren misses Croatia’s clash with Azerbaijan on Thursday after being suspended for comments made on social media after the UEFA Nations League win over Spain in November, but is available for trip to Hungary on Sunday.

Xherdan Shaqiri has been included in the Switzerland squad for the games at Georgia on Saturday and at home to Denmark on Tuesday.

And Simon Mignolet is in the Belgium party for Thursday’s visit of Russia and the away clash at Cyprus three days later.

Klopp on Henderson

Jurgen Klopp has been writing in the matchday programme.

And he’s saying some nice things about Jordan Henderson.

“I would like to conclude these notes by congratulating our captain Jordan Henderson on reaching 50 senior international caps for the England team during the break.

For a country with England’s talent, resources and competition for places, to get to such a number at his age tells you his qualities.

Jordan is a special person and a special player. He is our leader on and off the pitch and the example he sets to players of all ages is fantastic.

It would not surprise me one but if he goes on to become a centurion for England, given his determination to keep improving all the time.”
