Belgium too naive to fall into the hands of the French tricks of falling whenever tackled. Even then the fouls commited by belgium were more cynical and the ref had no choice but to award free kicks to France.
Overall France outsmarted Belgium even tho they had much lesser possession yet had more attempts
Deserved winner 1-0 to France

Another factor was Belgium lacking bites upfront with Lukaku missing.

France surprisingly disciplined in behaviour and tactics.
Varane kept Lukaku quiet throughout. Deserved winners.

Next England vs Croatia

If can tame Modric...England has one foot in the final.
Modric is smart and run across the midfield...very hard to man mark him.
England's DM got to work very hard.

Besides Modric there is another shrewd midfielder Rakitic.
They have some decent midfield players.
Lets see if Eng can overcome them.
Favourite Eng to move to finals.
To clear them within 90mins we shall see.😃

When it matters most, Lukaku and Fellaini did not rise to the occasion unlike Pogba whose performance for France had been great, altho Fellaini was a shade better than Lukaku
Lets hope Lingard, Rashford and Young will keep the Three Lions roaring tonight vs Croatia

Sadly all the manchester united players in the england jersey did not play to expectations against Croatia who beat england 2-1 after extra time.
Croatia was certainly the worthy winner for their mental attitudes of never giving up n fought for every ball

England should have the game wrapped up in the first 30mins after their 1-0 lead but Kane and Lingard were off the mark.
Kane was quite ineffective in this game too.
Old habits die hard....the love of passing the ball squarely and back to goalie thereafter even when they were in attacking position, very apparent with most of the English players in the BPL, they prefer to go the back passing route and then try a long range cross which more often then not falls to the Croatian lads and the attack collapse.
Not trying to be discouraging, I certainly think they should be proud to get to this phase of the tournament. But they could have achieved more.
For this semis, I think Southgate's substitutions were wrong.
For all his miscues in front of goal, Sterling certainly gave the Croatians a difficult time with his quick pace but was sub off at half time with Rashford who have not performed too well in all his other games he came in. and this game was no exception. At times, he seems disinterested to be involved and was at walking pace.
The midfield was totally dominated by Croatia which Southgate should have addressed. at least try putting Delph in (I realise England does not have much choices on the bench).
Just felt it was such a waste to have missed out for the final which England could have achieved. altho they would not stand a chance against France
