Question Why Malaysia Golden Crossback Arowana is not gold?

Why does this adult Malaysia Golden xback aro is not really gold?
Does it due to low grade or Malaysia Golden xback is like that?

Bro, if the aro in question is into a "darker" tank, sidewise, it will eccentuate the goldeness more profoundly.

Hi Squid.
Mine very still small - 6" and i cant notice any gold on his body except dark on top n bright on bottom. Above pic was from same shop but this xcross aro is around 12-14" - i am guess could be his parent or relatives.

I am guess will my aro grow up like this color tone. If i compare on forum here or internet, my aro look like fake xcross.

Hi Micheallow34.
I guess u r right but cannot b so drastic different.

That's a good question bro. Practically how many xb we seen these days are shiny in gold color?

And what does the presence of special lighting these days that can make the fish looks more yellowish tell?
