Once again.. many thanks to all for your kind comments...

Among the three.... Orange is the one that worries me the most. And yet for keeping rays in a black tank, this fella will only grow more and more beautiful. To me, this is a ray that is truly suitable for black tanks. The other being the tiger ray. The others I somehow suspect that keeping in black tanks will somehow negatively impact its pattern and colour development.

Acclimatising this fella in a community tank is a challenge. Initially among all the rays, I have to start this ray on tubifex worms. In my observation, it is not enough if you see the ray is eating. You need to do more. The only time you feel safe is when the ray started to "pounce" on its food. Nibbling is simply not enough.

I tried converting the fella to fgs. It took very unwillingly, to such a point it just stops eating fgs. Even reverting to tubifex worms was a bit of challenge, It ate but also very very little. Then come a day, when I was feeding sw to my aros, Orange suddenly became very active as if searching for food. The moment it felt the sw on the bottom. It literally jump on the fella and chew the worm like no tomorrow. Till now, this fella literally love sw. With that,

With this, it became extremely easy to take care of the rays. Everyone of them took sw and they love it. Extra care has to be taken to ensure the worms are healthy and fed with nutritious food. Once coverted, I started a round of parzi treatment. And all was done.
