More amazing is that they extended Mata for another year. Ole wanted this extension cos he said Mata's experience will benefit the younger players. I think Ole is bloody delusional. So much for sentimentality!!

And what about Phil Jones the only unsellable player in the team cos no other teams want him.

Sancho has passed his medical report and he should be officially announced as wearing the iconic number 7.
Varane update...We are now officially in talk with Real Madrid and the only roadblock ahead is the price. We offered 45 million whereas RM wanted 50million. Personal terms is not any issue.
Marcus Rashford has decided to go ahead with his shoulder injury and could be out for the first 3 months of the season.
Pogba has yet to confirm renewing his contract which will put a stop to the pursuit for Cavmavinga
We now have 26 senior players without including any new young players which will hamper any growth for the newly signed young players.
And we are considering to offer Jessie Lingard and Periera extension???
Plus we have the most expensive goalkeeper in the league who might be sitting on the bench cos Ole is in favour of Henderson as the number one.
What about Jones and Matic is really anyone;s guess

Finally it appears that Varane will sign subject to a medical and terms to be agreed.

This was probably the one transfer that could collapse bearing in mind that Ramos used United to get a better deal for himself previously.

We also are paying £42m (listed in the tabloids) and not a higher fee which was reported.

The 3 pre season games we played showed why some of the senior dead wood needed to be shipped out. Matic, Linggard Pereira Dan James had been poor or at best, average. Tuanzebe and Mengi unfortunately also did not make much impact.
It is the younger players like Elanga, Pellistric Hanniba, Shoretire and Garner that had been exciting to watch and these players shoiuld be loaned out to give them more exposure.
Instead of spending money for Tripper Ole should give Dalot more opportunities.
Even with 15mins given by Ole, DVDB showed why he should be given more game time

I am unsure about Dalot whether he can ever improve his defensive side. He is fairly alright going forward but has made numerous mistakes defensively often resulting in goals. Sometimes, a player can never improve further.

One example is Serge Aurier, great going forward but a disaster at the back, whether he will give a penalty away every time or fail to track the forward, etc.

Elanga appears to be the next one to break through among the lot. He has the size, strength and knack for goals.

Last season Pogba had 3 assists but today for only ONE game he had FOUR assists. WOW WOW

Greenwood scored one and Fred one too

I think James is as good as gone. Good game for pogba. Martial coming up n with his botak head i think he will fare well. Rashford,Lingard and martial the moment have hair will out of form
