and also hobbyist need to identify for fishes that hav been trim / cutting of finnaged

Good point..
But have to circle up or crop up the pictures to show which part had trim/cut when posting..

I reckon that if you cut or trim fins to achieve the perfect shape for competition purposes so as to win unfairly then I feel it is not morally right.

However if you trim the fin to cure a hard to recover a chip at the fins or a overly heavy fin that cause your Betta to swim awkwardly then I feel it is ok. Provided you have no intentions to send for competition.

Having said that, competition is just an avenue for you to determine your grooming skills, choosing the best show quality fish, and most importantly to make friends, networking and sharing of knowledge. If you intend to win by cutting and trimming of fins, it just show that you are cheating.
