Juz started keeping goldfish....Oranda to be more specific. Think I watch those cute little buggers more often than I watch TV.

hi, when u say lionhead do you mean oranda or the real chinese lionhead? many lfs in certain places (i think hong kong included) mix up the terms

I've been wondering about that too. Oranda is called a "lion head" in mandarin but it's not the same as the Lionhead goldfish becoz the later is a shou xing.

I mean the english term oranda and china lionhead.
Thought everybody was into ranchu only.

Got lah, I more into demekin mah and starting on lionhead. Oranda dunno how to choose.

U also into ranchu leh, all those pic in yr gallery.

I never took pictures of the rest of my goldfish.
Just hope to see more pictures of lionheads and oranda. Saw a white oranda at aquatic connection long long time ago but never buy . Head was facing down and floating around already so didn't want to take the risk. Saw one extremely beautiful tri coloured oranda at pasir ris farm though, got pink, black and white. It was a real beauty! Was so tempted to buy it but it cost a cool 180 . Wonder did anyone show that fish? It was in a 3ft or 4ft tank by itself with mineral rocks.

ever kept tri colored orandas... they turned red-white..

any secrets in keeping them?

Heheh ok in that case I like both.

A long time ago i asked whether anyone was into oranda and there were next to no replies.
