Using tap water... But from I know of some using RO water and they are having very good results from it. Some even triggered spawning soon after!

I used RO water for my heckels previously but not sure whether necessary for royals or browns. 4ft use RO still not so bad but if for like 6ft tank, siong ah

I think it is not necessary but it is ideal.
My take is is budget is there, should go for it.
