In matter of time, the tank is not enough to accommodate it. To calm it, possible to much movement or stress to the fish, maybe cover will oyama paper on the left/right side of the tank. A suggestion only.

I assume it is in a fgt and not a glass tank.
Cos with all the banging here and there, the tank bound to crack in no time especially when the araipaima head is so tough. A way to calm the fish dwn is to add black water... But u did mention the fish is in the tank for 1mth liao and still so jumpy...so I guess it is the nature of this fish tat it gets excited or spook easily. Try adding tankmates to keep it company. |
